Zach West was born in Atlanta, GA, but grew up and has lived in Bradenton for the past 17 years. He started playing piano at the age of nine, and quickly fell in love with music. He continued to expand his horizons throughout high school, picking up guitar, bass, and drums, in particular being heavily involved in drumline and the percussion section of the marching band. At that time, Zach was also leading the youth worship band at Woodland. After high school, Zach performed and was the main song writer for a national touring band. Although he enjoyed his time with the band, he found himself being pulled in the direction of composing and teaching. Zach has been teaching now for three years, and has recently started working at Woodland as a Music Director, helping with the worship band and arrangements.
