Ad Deum is a professional modern/contemporary dance company based in Houston, Texas.
Ad Deum exists and engages as a professional dance company, creative community, and as a culture of like-minded, like-hearted, and like-spirited dance artists. We believe that the art of dance can and should serve an important and impactful mission for the wellbeing of our world and to enliven and enrich the soul and spirit of mankind. The arts can inspire faith, hope, and love; becoming pathways to encounter beauty, goodness, and truth, opening portals towards redeeming transcendence and transformation.
The arts, serving as sacramental offerings, can gather the collective hearts of humankind in the unity of peaceful fellowship and in a common-grace communion with the Creator of all good and perfect gifts.
Ad Deum is a moving force of contemporary dance and physical theatre. Pure passion, grace and elite athleticism abound as these artists explore the mysteries of faith, the wonders of life, and the brokenness and beauty of our world through the art of dance. Ad Deum embraces the imaginative and creative freedom of the body, soul, and spirit of mankind as the signature of God’s design upon humanity. Ad Deum has received outstanding reviews for local and national performances, as well as international tours to Poland, Austria, Thailand, Japan, China, Malaysia, Singapore, Australia and Canada.
