We are dedicated to providing a welcoming environment where artists can explore their creativity and grow in confidence. We believe that every artist has a unique gift, and our goal is to help them discover and develop their talents. Our teaching and culture is rooted in Christ-centered values, and we are passionate about integrating the arts into everyday life. We encourage artists to express themselves freely and find their unique voice, offering practical tools to apply their creativity both in and out of the classroom. We strive to create a sense of belonging, where every student feels valued and supported, and through training in acting, music, and dance, we aim to empower students to pursue their personal and artistic growth. Join us and become part of a community that values individual artistry and fosters personal development.
BENEFITS OF THEATRE EDUCATION
Improved Communication Skills: Theatre training helps kids develop strong verbal and non-verbal communication skills. They learn how to express themselves clearly and confidently, both on and off stage.
Enhanced Creativity and Imagination: Participating in theatre stimulates creativity and encourages imaginative thinking. Kids explore different characters, settings, and scenarios, which helps them think outside the box.
Boosted Confidence and Self-Esteem: Performing in front of an audience can be a powerful confidence booster. Theatre training helps kids overcome stage fright, build self-assurance, and develop a sense of accomplishment.
Stronger Teamwork and Collaboration: Theatre is a collaborative art form that requires working closely with others. Kids learn the importance of teamwork, cooperation, and respecting different perspectives while working together to achieve a common goal.
We’re overjoyed to have the Theatre Department present The Lion King Jr. It is a story that highlights the themes of faith, love, forgiveness, and redemption. Each year brings fresh vision as we grow and take steps to stay in tune with God and where He’s leading us. Our prayer in working on and presenting the Lion King Jr. is that it will bring our students and families closer to Christ and provide the opportunity for them to experience His love in new ways.
WFA Theatre prioritizes the word of God by incorporating Biblical principles and themes into every story we engage with.
