Julianna Ruane is WFA’s Director of Operations and one of the ballet instructors. She is originally from Jackson, Georgia and began dancing at the age of three. She danced with two pre-professional companies and studied under Mich Flanders, Magdalena Maury and Jonsie Pollock. Throughout her dancing career she performed many roles in the Nutcracker including Clara and Snow Queen. Along with these roles she has performed soloist roles in Swan Lake and Serenade. While in college she continued to dance and helped found the Ave Maria Dance Academy. Julianna has a strong belief that ballet not only benefits the health of the students body but also their spiritual, emotional, and social well being.
Julianna is a wife and mother of three children. She has a Bachelor's Degree from Ave Maria University and received a B.A. in History. She has over 15 years of teaching and professional experience working with students of all ages.
Julianna has been with WFA since 2014 and has helped with the growth and expansion of both the academy and the Dance Company. She started as administrative support staff progressed to Finance and Enrollment coordinator and is now the Director of Operations for the academy.
Her faith and love for God is at the center of who she is and all she does. She feels that it is an honor and a privilege to work at a place that also places God at the center and believes that Woodland Fine Arts Academy is a blessing to both her and her family.
