Bristen dejarnette
Theatre Department Head
Dance & Theatre Instructor
Dance & Theatre Instructor
Bristen DeJarnette is thrilled to be stepping into her new role as Theatre Department Head at Woodland Fine Arts Academy this season! Now in her fourth year teaching at WFA, Bristen continues to pour into several departments—teaching hip hop and tap dance, guiding little ones in the Pre-K Department, and now leading the entire Theatre Department with vision and joy. After serving last year as Interim Theatre Department Head, she’s honored to return in this leadership role and continue pouring into the growth and success of WFA.
With a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre, Dance, and Performance Studies from New College of Florida, Bristen’s passion for both theatre and dance has been a central part of her life since childhood. Her background includes performing lead roles in dance productions and musicals, acting in film projects, choreographing, dancing in commercial music videos, and touring pre-professionally with a national convention. She’s also spent years singing on her church’s worship team and has a deep love for using the arts as a form of worship—something she loves teaching her students to do as well.
Whether she’s leading a tap class or directing a rehearsal, Bristen brings an energetic, faith-filled approach to all she does. She is deeply grateful to be part of the Woodland community and is passionate about helping students grow in both confidence and creativity.
Outside of WFA, Bristen is happily celebrating two years of marriage with her husband, Zachary. She’s also a proud cat mom to two kitties, Evie and Archie. Bristen is honored to serve this year in a new leadership capacity and can’t wait to see what God has in store for the upcoming season at WFA!
