The Woodland Fine Arts Academy Theatre Program exists to develop confident, expressive performers who use their voices, bodies, and imaginations to tell meaningful stories. Rooted in a Christ-centered environment, we aim to cultivate excellence in acting, collaboration, and communication while encouraging students to glorify God through creative expression on and off the stage.
BENEFITS OF THEATRE EDUCATION

Enhanced Creativity and Imagination: Participating in theatre stimulates creativity and encourages imaginative thinking. Kids explore different characters, settings, and scenarios, which helps them think outside the box.
Boosted Confidence and Self-Esteem: Performing in front of an audience can be a powerful confidence booster. Theatre training helps kids overcome stage fright, build self-assurance, and develop a sense of accomplishment.

Love fashion, design, or being part of something creative? Join the Mary Poppins Jr. production as a Costume Apprentice and help bring the characters to life through costumes!
As an apprentice, you’ll help design, build, and organize costumes for the show. You’ll get to work behind the scenes, both on your own and with a fun team, learning what it takes to make a production look amazing on stage. You’ll also observe Theatre classes throughout the year to understand how costumes support the story and characters—even if you're not taking a class yourself.
This apprenticeship is flexible—we’ll meet weekly or every other week depending on what needs to get done. It’s a great opportunity if you’re creative, detail-oriented, or just want to try something new and exciting behind the scenes.
Please note: Costume Interns may not also be performers in Mary Poppins Jr. due to the time commitment and production needs of both performance and costuming.
This will be built as a class with a monthly tuition.
