Ruth Weaver has been playing the violin and piano since she was 8 & 10 yrs old. As a youth, she was selected to perform with Florida Allstate Orchestras, the Sarasota Youth Opera Orchestra, Pine View Chamber Symphony (as concert mistress and concerto soloist), Sewanee Symphony, New England Music Camp Orchestra, in Sarasota's Just Kids Just Music, was a national member of the National Piano Playing Auditions, received superior ratings from the National Federation of Music Clubs, and was concert mistress of the former Florida West Coast Symphony Youth Philharmonic. Her musical talent has also been demonstrated in performances with the Tulsa Philharmonic, former Florida West Coast Symphony, Anna Marie Symphony as a concerto soloist, Venice Symphony, former MCC Orchestra, the ORU Orchestra (also as concerto soloist & concertmistress), and The Player's Theater. She has performed in numerous churches, on worship teams, and for various special occasions including a concert with Christian singer Sandy Patty. Her violin teachers included Dr. Maurice Sklar, Dr. Hayden @ USF, Ken Bowermeister, Julie McNally, and Dr. Vasilaki. Her piano teacher was Mrs. Warrene Johnson.
