Philosophy
Woodland Fine Arts Academy offers a theater program that provides students the chance to learn theater craft and techniques. Our Showcase Performances and Dinner Theater Productions provide our artists with the experience of putting on an evening of entertainment and a Full-Scale Professional Production.
Our theater classes are divided by grade and skill level, and focus on acting techniques, choreography, vocal training, and character development. We strive to offer opportunities to grow in faith together, and honor and glorify God with the gifts and talents he has given us.
Putting musical theater productions together is a community effort at WFA, and we ask for parent involvement throughout the year. We invite all families to be involved to help work on preparations for the shows. We will have opportunities to take projects home and also family workshop events for families and cast mates to come together to work side-by-side and be a part of the creative process. We believe that this structure provides a great learning experience of the behind the scenes efforts that go into the making of a musical and a great experience together as a family and an opportunity for fellowship and teamwork.
