As we are all well aware of, the COVID cases in our area are on the rise and the mask guidelines and physical distancing recommendations are needing to be implemented more. We want to do our part to be safe and responsible for the staff, students, and volunteers who will be in our care during the year, as well as be mindful of the family members and local community around us who may then be in contact with our academy. As always, we are working hard to prepare to ensure the best possible experience again this year. Some of the procedures we will be following are:
SCHOOL PROCEDURES (UNTIL OTHERWISE NOTIFIED):
Please be sure to read our official Agreement upon registration as we have made changes to our policies.
Masks are required when entering the building and transitional times (during the current mandate in Manatee County), but will not be required while dancing as physical distancing will be implemented.
Class registration sizes will be reduced from previous years to allow for safe distancing.
Because of the size of the rooms and the ability to social distance, students may wear masks while singing and dancing but will not be required.
Students are asked to enter the building from the Family Life Center (a.k.a. Treehouse Lobby) entrance.
Instructors will be asked to disinfect high touch surfaces between classes.
Due to the physical interaction necessary to ensure safety and instruction, all of our Acro classes will not be offered at this time. We are hopeful that we may resume in the new year and will notify the entire academy when the class becomes available.
Students are encouraged to use hand sanitizers or wash hands whenever possible.
We ask that parents drop off and pick up students curbside if possible to limit the number of people in the lobby. PreK students may be escorted by parents.
Should your child or anyone in my family or household test positive for Covid-19, or has been in direct contact with anyone who has tested positive, or are awaiting results of testing for Covid-19, please remain off campus until any testing or recommended quarantine time has concluded.
Woodland Fine Arts Academy may remove a student from a classroom and contact the person(s) responsible for my student should the student express or show an signs of illness such as headaches, high temperature, or any other flu-like symptoms.
Should any student or class, including but not limited to schools and extracurricular activities, be asked to self quarantine due to contact with another person that has tested positive for Covid-19 regardless of the location where the student came into contact with affected person, please refrain from attending WFA classes during that time as a preventative measure for the best interest of all (fees will not be refunded due to absences).
Should any student test positive for Covid-19, we ask that you contact WFA so that we may ensure any we may take the best measures possible to ensure safety for any students and instructors that may have come in contact with that student.
Should the WFA close due to government or church recommendations, refunds will not be issued during the current billing cycle. Should the WFA remain closed for more than 1 billing cycle, fees and tuition will not be billed until classes resume.
